How to Read These Codes...

Certain conventions are used throughout the code book to refer to controllers, buttons, and the like. Here's an overview of the various notations you may see.

    CNTRL I
    CNTRL II
    CNTRL III
    CNTRL IV
    Controller number 1, 2, 3 or 4. If none are listed, assume you'll use the first or active controller.
    PAD I Crosskey joypad (+) on Controller 1.
    (On the virtual boy, PAD I refers to the left joypad, while PAD II refers to the right joypad.)
    STICK I Analog joystick on Controller 1.
    (On the Wii, this can refer to either the Nunchuk joystick plugged into controller 1, or to the left joystick on the Classic Controller.)
    LSTICK I
    RSTICK I
    The Left Analog Joystick on controller one, or the Right Analog Joystick on controller one.
    (These are primarily used for the Wii Classic Controller.
    On the GameCube, STICK refers to the left joystick, while the C button codes are used for the right, yellow C-Stick.)
