WAVE RACE 64 (n64)

checked-no =>Wetsuit Colors: Press D or U while selecting your racer to change colors. =>Dolphin Racer: Enter the Stunt Mode and select Dolphin Park. During the race you must go through all the rings and perform all seven stunts, which are: Flip - off ramp, hold U, quickly press D Handstand - off throttle, press D, hold U Roll right - off ramp, tap L and hold R Roll left - off ramp, tap R and hold L Spin - off throttle, move stick clockwise Stand - off throttle, move stick counterclockwise Sub Dive - off ramp, hold U until the peak of jump, then hold D If you do all of this, a dolphin will squeak after you cross the finish line. Now, while playing the Championship Beginners Class Warm-Up, hold D while selecting your character and press [START]. You will now be riding a dolphin; this data will be saved to the control pak. =>Turbo Boost: Hold the gas just before the announcer says "Go!" for a turbo boost to top speed. =>Reverse Tracks: Get first place in all three Championship Mode circuits to reveal the Reverse Circuits, which are the reverse of the normal tracks! =>Extra Points: Pause the game as soon as you do a stunt, and all game sounds except for the announcer should turn off. This will usually allow you to increase your points significantly. The best method is to pause the instant the announcer begins talking. =>Clone Racers: In Vs. Mode, use CNTRL II to select the racer, making sure that player one's cursor is on an adjacent racer. Press CNTRL II: U+[START] to get the default color, then press CNTRL I: R+[START] or L+[START] so as to select the same player and begin the game. =>Wildlife: To hear dolphins, enter the Stunt Mode, pass through all the rings and complete all the ordinary stunts at least once (including both left and right barrel rolls) to hear dolphins when you pass the finish line. Or, to see some, enter Championship Mode, normal difficulty Warm Up, hold D and choose your jet ski, and continue to hold D until you reach Dolphin Park. * For baby dolphins, follow the ordinary dolphin for 3 to 7 laps; he'll jump over the ramp before the gate if you do well; mimic his stunts and ski well, never passing or losing him, and always doing what he does, and up to three dolphins and a killer whale will eventually be following you; you can tell if the trick is working if the dolphin does a flip when you reach the pier. * Play Warm Up 20 times in a row to see a giant dolphin. * Killer whales appear in Championship mode if you score more than 35 points before reaching Southern Island; baby ones appear if you make more than 45 points. * Finally, a penguin will appear in the Championship, expert level Cool Wave course if you get first place in every race prior to Cool Wave. =>Super Score: Enter Dolphin Park and look for a large approaching wave. Hit the wave and do any aerial stunt off of it, but press [START] to pause the game as soon as you land; if the trick worked, you will not see a score message. Finish the course using non-jump stunts, passing through the rings and check points at as close to 0 seconds as you can. When you finish the course, your score should be huge. =>Backwards Racing: Rotate the STICK clockwise and hold D. =>Odd Trick: It seems that if you are racing in a level, you can hold down the RESET button without having the game reset; in fact, you can pull out the cartridge and the race will still continue! Risky for your hardware, but interesting.
