SUPER SMASH BROS. (n64)
checked-yes
=>999% Combo: This combo probably only works in Training Mode. Play as Mario
and make sure the computer is set to stand still and do nothing. Once you
begin the training stage, have Mario stand right next to the computer
player so that they partially overlap, then press [START] and use the Item
option to make several red shells appear. Don't hit them or pick them up,
let them drop right on Mario and the computer. The shells and the players
should partially overlap.
Now, do Mario's spinning attack and keep holding down D+B. The combo
counter and the damage counter will increase like crazy - in fact, the game
may even slow down considerably. When the combo finishes, the computer
should be at 999% damage. Nifty, eh? What happened was that Mario's spin
attack deflected the bouncing shells and kept the computer player from
bouncing away.
=>Extra Fighters: Once you meet the requirements for an extra fighter, they
will appear and challenge you to a battle. Beat them and you'll get them as
a new playable character.
* Jigglypuff: Beat the one player game at any difficulty and with any
number of stock lives and you will fight Jigglypuff. Note that if you
beat the game and fulfill the requirements for Ness or Capt. Falcon, you
will fight them and NOT Jigglypuff.
* Captain Falcon: Beat the one player game in less than 20 minutes at any
difficulty, with any number of stock lives, and without using a continue.
* Luigi: Complete Practice Mode 1 with the 8 default characters and you
will fight Luigi. Beat him to enable him on the player selection screen.
* Ness: Beat the one player game on at least the normal difficulty with 3
stock lives and without continuing and you will fight Ness. Beat him to
enable him on the player selection screen.
Ness has a special shield. Press D+B to activate Ness's PK Shield,
which absorbs damage from enemy projectiles and then reduces your damage
meter. An attack that would normally hurt you by 20% can reduce your
damage by about 22%.
=>Mushroom Kingdom Stage: Beat the one player game using all eight characters
and play the versus mode in all eight arenas to enable the Classic Mushroom
Kingdom stage.
=>Color Changes: When choosing a character, use the C buttons to change their
outfit colors.
=>Item Switch: Play the versus mode 100 times and the Item Switch will be
enabled under the Versus Options screen.
=>Sound Test: Complete Practice Modes 1 and 2 using all twelve characters.
=>Profiles Camera: When viewing a character profile screen, hold Z and move
the STICK to swivel the camera.
=>Life Swipe: If you are playing a team battle and you lose all your lives,
you can swipe one from your team mate if you press [START].
=>Depower Kirby: If you are using Kirby and you want to discard your special
power, press [L].
